Another Section Completed: Meetings
Here is the text for the section on meetings:
The church will gather no less than weekly for the purpose of worshiping God, proclaiming the Gospel, and caring for and edifying one another.
The Congregation will vote to affirm the selection of elders, to approve the annual church budgets, to approve the incurring of indebtedness, the acquisition of assets, the construction of new buildings, and other matters required by the constitution or as requested by the elders. All members who are sixteen years of age or older are eligible to vote. A quorum will consist of ten percent of the voting age membership according to the current membership rolls.
Congregational gatherings for the purpose of voting or decision making may be called by the elders or by written request to the Church Clerk by fifty or more (excluding immediate family) members of the church. All such meetings will be announced to the congregation no less than two weeks in advance. The presiding chair for all such meetings will be determined by the elders.
